Katy & Ro is a British-Dutch company established by Katy in the UK and Ro in India. We design prints for tablecloths, napkins and lifestyle accessories. Creating our collection with local partners in India, we want to bring the bright and beautiful colours of India to your homes.

We use the traditional technique of hand block printing to create truly unique items that cannot be found in massed produced factories. We work with organisations that prioritise fair wages and help to preserve the ancient skill of block printing that we both fell in love with.

Katy is British and based in Winchester. She worked in the theatre industry for over ten years but was forced to stop working during the pandemic. During the lockdown she developed a passion for gardening and design which in turn led to her to starting the business with Ro. Katy loves a silk scarf and is Mum to two boys born in 2019 and 2021.

Ro is Dutch and a tiny bit Belgian in her heart, having lived in Brussels for 20 years. After working for 8 years in European politics, she moved with her husband to India in 2019, where she is discovering the many wonders this vast country has to offer. The block printing tradition captured her heart almost instantly and that was the beginning of Katy & Ro’s adventures. Ro loves the warm and colourful buzz of evenings in Bangalore and the bright green colour of the Netherlands in Springtime. Ro has a little boy who was born in Bangalore early 2021.
